Job Description

We are seeking a talented Operations Supervisor to join ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling resources to ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of freight.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control available resources for timely and safe freight loading/unloading.
• Maintain appropriate load plans and ensure safe vehicle operation.
• Assign job tasks, coordinate work assignments, and monitor performances.
• Provide training, performance feedback, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate in a team setting to achieve department goals.
• Support the company's values culture focused on creativity, integrity, and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in Service Center, transportation, or related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of freight handling techniques desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of imports, exports, and freight handling techniques.
