Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will work closely with the store manager to oversee daily operations, ensure the store's performance, manage schedules, and develop action plans while identifying training opportunities for team growth.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 38 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $24.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operational results
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members
- Identify training opportunities to improve team performance
- Understand company values and foster teamwork among employees
- Monitor the competitive landscape and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness
- Provide feedback on products and contribute to the store's success
- Participate in the hiring process
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures and cash control policies
- Resolve operational customer concerns
- Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels
- Merchandise products effectively
- Supervise day-to-day operations and escalate issues when necessary
- Ensure high levels of customer service
- Comply with company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Capacity to operate a cash register and other store equipment
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- State and local requirements compliance for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience
- Previous management experience preferred
