Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Retail Supervisor to join our team at Aldi. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall performance, managing schedules, and developing operational action plans. Additionally, you will focus on team development through training opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operating results.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to the team members.
  • Identify training opportunities for team members to improve performance.
  • Understand and relay company strategy and values to promote teamwork.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Participate in store personnel interviews and provide product feedback to the leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, proper stock levels, and product merchandising standards.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Ensure customer service excellence and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Lead and develop team members effectively.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Operate a cash register and store equipment proficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
