Construction Cost Project Analyst

Job Description

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing construction costs on a national level, collaborating closely with divisional real estate teams to assess construction bids. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction, architecture, or engineering, with a deep understanding of construction documents. Your primary goal in this role is to ensure that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Responsibilities

• Work with Construction Managers to negotiate with contractors.
• Collaborate with Director Real Estate and Construction Manager to clarify scopes and pricing.
• Provide divisions with current pricing data and practices for consistency.
• Analyze bids in detail and recommend the most qualified bidders with competitive prices.
• Prepare quarterly reports to track pricing data and advise on efficiency improvements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and research alternative construction practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction cost software.
