Job Description

We are looking for a Construction Cost Project Analyst to join our National Real Estate Services team at Aldi, one of the nation's fastest-growing retailers. As a key member of the team, you will manage construction costs on a national level, collaborating with divisional real estate teams to evaluate construction bids. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction documents and hold an educational background in construction, architecture, or engineering. Your role will involve ensuring that construction costs align with project scopes and regional cost trends.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with Construction Managers on negotiation points with contractors.
  • Collaborate with divisional teams to determine appropriate scopes and clarify pricing.
  • Provide current pricing data and practices for consistent pricing structures.
  • Prepare detailed bid analysis for project awarding.
  • Track pricing data and provide reports to management.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and review construction documents.
  • Conduct market pricing reviews and provide pricing forecasts.
  • Assist in team training and development.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Construction Estimating.

Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and remote work.
  • Ability to sit, stand, use office equipment, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Travel

  • Domestic travel up to 10% required.
