Job Description
We are looking for a Customer Service and Stock Specialist to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store to provide exceptional customer service and enhance the shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain neat merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Offer feedback on products, inventory, and general issues to management
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Comply with company policies while maintaining document security and data confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficiently operate a cash register and other store equipment
- Perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work independently and in a team environment
- Stay organized, detail-oriented, and follow instructions efficiently
- Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail work experience preferred
- Relevant education and experience combination accepted
