Job Description
We are looking for a Full-Time Store Associate to join Aldi's team. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly to provide an exceptional customer experience. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness.
Position Details:
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills guidelines
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and any operational issues
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
- Follow company policies and procedures for data security and confidentiality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service
- Efficient operation of a cash register
- Safely operate store equipment
- Adherence to cleaning standards and company policies
- Excellent communication skills
- Work well in a team or independently
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Fulfill state and local requirements for alcohol sales
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
