Job Description
As a Store Associate at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness to provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience. You'll work collaboratively with the ALDI team to deliver outstanding customer service and ensure the store operates efficiently.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
- Assist customers and communicate effectively with the team and management
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues
- Participate in inventory counts and uphold cash policies
- Adhere to company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Physical Demands
- Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and move products to various locations
- Engage in activities like sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and walking
- Ability to operate equipment and perform cleaning tasks
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years
- Customer service skills and cash register operation proficiency
- Capability to use equipment and follow company policies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- High school diploma preferred, retail experience a plus
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment desirable
- Combination of education and experience considered
