Job Description
As a Store Associate at Aldi, you will play a crucial role in merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide a top-notch shopping experience for customers. Working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will deliver exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive work environment.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI’s Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize product displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
- Offer feedback on products and inventory
- Participate in store inventory counts and ensure accuracy
- Adhere to cash handling policies and uphold company procedures
- Follow established company policies while maintaining document security
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Proficient in customer service and cash register operation
- Ability to operate equipment and perform cleaning tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working independently and in a team setting
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
- Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience is a plus
