Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Full-Time Store Manager Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Manager Trainee, you will undergo training in all aspects of store management to prepare for running your own store efficiently. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staffing, and developing operational strategies while leading and nurturing your team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise team performance according to company standards.
- Communicate and uphold company values to foster teamwork.
- Manage customer inquiries and ensure resolutions are met.
- Maintain store appearance and product quality standards.
- Participate in the hiring and training of store personnel.
- Create and oversee weekly schedules for adequate staffing.
- Set performance expectations and conduct evaluations for direct reports.
- Ensure store payroll and budgets are met.
- Monitor market trends and recommend adjustments for competitiveness.
- Provide feedback on product offerings and stock levels.
- Maintain safety standards and equipment functionality.
- Manage merchandising and inventory processes.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in interpreting and applying company policies.
- Experience in budget management and personnel supervision.
- Competency in using cash registers and store equipment.
- Organizational and multitasking skills.
- Compliance with state and local alcohol regulations.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience, managerial experience preferred.
- Education or equivalent practical knowledge.
Travel:
Full-Time Store Manager Trainees may travel to multiple locations for training.
