Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. The LPN/LVN will be responsible for delivering and documenting skilled nursing care in alignment with care plans and physicians' orders, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and respecting professional boundaries.
Essential Job Functions
- Deliver and coordinate quality patient care as prescribed by physicians.
- Continuously assess patient condition, report changes, and document care activities promptly.
- Participate in the development and updating of nursing care plans.
- Take appropriate nursing actions, achieve expected outcomes, and intervene as needed.
- Follow infection control measures and educate patients and families on self-care and prevention strategies.
- Maintain competency through ongoing education and skill development.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current, unrestricted state LPN/LVN license.
- CPR certification.
- Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance.
- State-specific requirements may apply.
Preferences
- Six months of recent clinical experience as an LPN/LVN.
- Home health experience.
Skills/Abilities
- Attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to speak, write, and understand English.
- Travel and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
- Various physical activities including standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
- Visual, hearing, smell, and touch acuity.
- Ability to respond to emergencies.
