Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Homewood Suites Glen Allen. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of the physical structures at our Richmond Innsbrook location. Your primary duties will include performing minor and routine maintenance activities, such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor and routine maintenance tasks to maintain the properties.
• Replace air-conditioner filters and ensure proper functioning of HVAC systems.
• Keep records of equipment maintenance and repair, including Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Maintain the appearance of the hotel's interior and exterior by painting, repairing walls, doors, and other related tasks.
• Ensure a superior quality in guest rooms by checking and correcting equipment and room-related issues.
• Practice safe operating procedures for equipment and chemicals and follow emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of hotel maintenance experience is desirable.
• Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
