Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Microbiology Supervisor to join Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. As a Day Shift Microbiology Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing the operations of the microbiology department and ensuring quality testing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Enforce sectional and departmental policies and procedures for effective operations.
- Monitor supply purchases, adjust personnel scheduling, and serve as a technical resource.
- Train and evaluate new employees and students on competency.
- Lead problem-solving efforts within the department and revise policies as needed.
- Evaluate and improve technical performance and competency of staff.
- Establish relationships with employees, support their development, and address any departmental issues.
- Take responsibility for identifying, investigating, and resolving problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- MT/MLT certification from ASCP required.
- 5-7 years of MT/MLS experience in a hospital lab setting.
