Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join Aveanna Healthcare. In this role, you will provide skilled nursing care, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, in accordance with established care plans and physicians' orders. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient conditions, delivering quality care, documenting activities, and educating patients and families on self-care techniques.
Essential Job Functions
- Deliver and coordinate patient care in compliance with physician orders.
- Observe and assess patient conditions, reporting changes as necessary.
- Document all activities, assessments, and care actions promptly.
- Participate in and update nursing care plans.
- Implement appropriate nursing interventions based on assessments.
- Provide infection control measures according to OSHA standards.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes and self-care.
- Continuously update nursing competencies through educational programs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
- Current CPR certification.
- Proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation.
- Specific state requirements may apply (e.g., pediatrics experience).
Preferences
Six months of recent clinical care experience preferred.
Home health experience is a plus.
