We are hiring a Phlebotomist to join the Hillcrest Medical Center team in Tulsa, OK. As an evening shift, full-time member, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care and upholding laboratory standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and maintain a cooperative working environment.
• Ensure specimens are obtained following laboratory guidelines.
• Effectively communicate patient information to care providers.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Prioritize workload and assist coworkers to ensure productivity.
• Follow proper protocols for specimen handling and transportation.
• Accurately accession and label specimens.
• Demonstrate infection control practices and proper patient identification.
• Perform drug screen collection and processing.
• Provide phlebotomy services in a professional and patient-centered manner.
• Engage in continuous self-evaluation to improve skills.
• Promote service excellence and contribute to the growth of the laboratory.
• Collaborate with multiple departments within the healthcare system.
• Perform arterial punctures when required.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience
• Experience working in a clinical setting
