Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Job Description

Unit Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in Endoscopy is responsible for providing direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients. Serving as a patient advocate, the RN offers teaching, counseling, and emotional support to patients and their families. The role involves providing care in adherence to hospital policies, professional standards, physician orders, and approved care plans. The RN is also responsible for overseeing the indirect nursing functions and activities of assigned nursing personnel, operating within the parameters of the Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and departmental policies. Supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the nursing department, the nursing process is central to patient care provision.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
• Minimum of one year of experience to be proficient in all phases of assigned duties.
