Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join The University of Vermont Health Network. The RN will be responsible for delivering care to patients in the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit, ensuring a coordinated perioperative experience for surgical/invasive procedures. This role includes pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring and assistance, post-procedure critical evaluation, pain management, and patient/family education. Additionally, the RN will become competent in two of the three areas of Perioperative Services: Operating Room Circulating Nurse, Pre/Post Nurse, or Endoscopy Nurse.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Minimum of two years med/surg nursing experience, critical care experience preferred.
• ACLS required, PALS within 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Competent in IV therapy and venipuncture.

Additional Information

• On-call duties as scheduled.
• $10,000 sign-on bonus, prorated for part-time.
