Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care by implementing the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include directing nursing care, providing patient education, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Additionally, you may be required to float to Psychiatry and the Behavioral Decision Unit in the Emergency Care Center based on unit needs.

Education/Skills Required

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Prior mental health experience and group facilitation skills are preferred.
• Effective communication skills for building therapeutic relationships.
• Meet physical/pre-placement screening requirements.
• Provide documentation indicating no history of Child Abuse, Neglect, and/or maltreatment within the first 30 days of employment.

Not required.

External candidates with 1 year of experience may qualify for a one-time sign-on bonus of $10,000 (prorated for part-time positions).
