Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the store.

Position Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
  • Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
  • Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
  • Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with store inventory counts
  • Adhere to cash policies and minimize losses
  • Comply with company policies while ensuring data security and confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment
  • Capability to maintain cleanliness and follow company procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior retail work experience is a plus
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
