Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to ensure a top-notch shopping experience for our customers. Collaboration and exceptional customer service are at the heart of this role as you work with the Aldi team to deliver outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping journey.
• Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to enhance operations.
• Participate in store inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
• Follow company policies and procedures while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register.
• Safe operation of equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• General cleaning and maintenance skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
