Job Description

As an Store Operations Assistant at ALDI, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By delivering exceptional customer service and collaborating effectively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to an enhanced shopping experience.

Position Details

• Job Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Communicate effectively with the team and management
• Monitor inventory accuracy and participate in inventory counts
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses
• Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring document security
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Ability to provide courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Safe operation of equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers
• Capability to maintain cleanliness to company standards
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Capacity to multi-task and follow instructions accurately
• Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol sales

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior retail experience (preferred)
• Combination of education and experience equivalent to retail knowledge
