Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for various tasks such as merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize shelves
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Provide feedback on products, inventory, and any issues
• Assist in store inventory counts as per guidelines
• Adhere to cash policies and minimize losses
• Comply with company policies and uphold document security

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Ability to offer prompt and courteous customer service
• Proficient in cash register operation
• Capable of operating store equipment and performing cleaning tasks
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow instructions
• Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience is a plus
• Combination of education and experience is acceptable
