Job Description: Store Operations Assistant at ALDI
We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. In this role, you will be responsible for various in-store activities to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your duties will include merchandising, cashiering, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with team members.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills
- Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandising displays
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
- Participate in inventory management and adhere to cash handling policies
- Follow company policies and procedures while ensuring data security and confidentiality
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to provide courteous customer service and operate a cash register
- Competence in operating equipment and performing cleaning tasks
- Excellent communication skills and capacity to work independently or in a team
- Capacity to follow instructions, multitask, and pay attention to detail
- Compliance with state and local regulations for alcohol handling and sales
- Prior work experience in retail is preferred
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
