Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly by merchandising products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Your focus on providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team will be essential for enhancing the overall shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays neatly.
• Provide outstanding customer service, assist shoppers, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Offer feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to contribute to store improvements.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses and follow company procedures.
• Comply with all established company policies and procedures while maintaining document and data security.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
• Capability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
