Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is a critical role responsible for offering physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. This 24x7x365 role requires a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, and PC troubleshooting. Data Center Operations Technicians must represent Flexential professionally and technically, ensuring customer interactions are handled with expertise and poise.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Provide prompt resolution or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Uphold professionalism and conduct while executing data center duties.
• Troubleshoot and document technical problems using the Flexential ticketing system.
• Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies diligently.
• Support local access and escort for vendors and carriers.
• Conduct remote hands work for internal and external clients.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and surrounding areas.
• Perform Facilities Rounds and escalate relevant information.
• Manage inbound and outbound shipping/receiving for Customers and Flexential Deliveries.
• Operate and Administer Badge Access Security System.
• Assist Critical Infrastructure Manager (CIM) as required.
• Collaborate with local management to maintain inventory levels of cabling and general usage items.
• Fulfill any other duties as needed and assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Customer-centric approach
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented with commitment to deadlines
• Ideally 1 year of experience in an IT Support environment
• Educational qualifications ranging from High School Diploma to AA/BS degree
• Certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA are advantageous

Preferred Qualifications

• Climbing and working at heights capability
• Ability to work in cold environments
• Skilled in using pallet jacks and lifting heavy objects
• Experience with cabling installations

Base Pay Range: ($19.33 - $22.67)
