Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Pediatric Associates team in Greater Salem. As the Care Team Nurse, you will be the clinical leader responsible for managing high-risk and chronically ill patients, providing patient education, direct care, and triage services. Working under the supervision of healthcare professionals, you will ensure the smooth operation of patient care, utilizing your skills to address the physical, emotional, and socio-economic needs of pediatric patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in infection control and age-appropriate pediatric care.
• Assess and address the holistic needs of clients and families, providing referral services when necessary.
• Provide urgent triage care, document nursing care accurately in the EMR system, and facilitate communication among healthcare professionals and patients.
• Administer vaccines, medications, and in-office procedures efficiently and professionally.
• Coordinate post-hospitalization care and maintain pediatric-focused continuing education.
• Adhere to practice policies and procedures, ensuring HIPAA compliance and maintaining EMR proficiency.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a care team.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and email.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN/LPN license in Massachusetts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and adherence to continuing education requirements.
