Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Mortgage Lender to join Civista Bank. As the Senior Mortgage Lender, you will play a crucial role in originating first mortgage loans, promoting the bank's lending services, and addressing the financial needs of the community. This position requires travel to engage with referral partners, prospective clients, and various community activities to expand the bank's reach.

Key Responsibilities

• Solicit first mortgage and home equity loans through referral partners and community interactions.
• Complete loan applications and pre-processing functions according to bank policies and underwriting guidelines.
• Educate clients on the bank's underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations.
• Screen loan requests and propose suitable loan options.
• Stay informed about new legislation affecting residential lending policies and ensure compliance.
• Participate in special credit programs and community activities to promote the bank's services.

Requirements

• Five+ years of Mortgage Lending experience in a financial institution or loan office setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in bank compliance requirements and Fair Lending laws.
• Strong computer literacy and data entry skills.
• High level of initiative, accuracy, and organizational skills.
